The Victorians made their way across the Nullabor to play Western Australia in Marsh Sheffield Shield match and were beaten well by the home side ,now the 2 teams are playing a 1 dayer at the WACA .Both the teams rested some players ,with WA bringing in their quicks and the Vic’s resting some of theirs .The 2 captains made their way to the centre for the toss and it was WA skipper Ashton Turner that called it and sent Peter Handscomb’s Victorian team into bat .The new ball was thrown to Jhye Richardson while the 2 Victorian openers Tom Rogers and Sam Harper made their way out to the crease .The openers started out slowly adding 10 runs in the first 2 overs ,then in the 3 rd over it was Sam Harper that was out caught of a ball from Jhye Richardson ,the VICS are now 1/15 ,Campbell Kellaway is the incoming batter ,this partnership added 7 runs before Tom Rogers went Lbw to Jason Brehendorff for 11 runs ,Vic’s are now 2/22 in the 4th over ,the next batter to the crease is Jonathan Merlo who is joining Campbell Kellaway ,Kellaway faced up to Richardson and was out caught for a duck ,the score is 3/22 .The VICs are now in deep trouble ,coming out next is the VIC skipper Peter Handscomb ,this partnership added 14 runs before Merlo was out caught off the bowling of Jason Brehendorff for 11 runs ,Victoria are now 4/36 in the 7th over . The WA openers Josh Philippe and D’Arcy Short came out to face up to Vic opener Peter Siddle and Fergus O’Neill ,the WA openers put on 33 runs before Josh Philippe was cleaned bowled by Fergus O’Neill for 14 runs ,WA are 1/33 .Cameron Bancroft is the new batter and with D’Arcy Short the pair took the total to 51 runs before Cameron Bancroft was out caught off the bowling of Will Sutherland for a Duck, WA are now 2/51.Sam Whiteman is the new batter to the crease ,over the next 6 overs this partnership took the total to 77 runs before D’Arcy Short went Lbw to Will Sutherland for 39 runs ,WA are 3/77 .Aaron Hardie made his way out to the crease to join Sam Whiteman and over the next 9 overs the partnership added 28 runs before Aaron Hardie was out caught off the bowling of Sam Elliott for 10 runs ,WA are now 4/105 ,the next batter to the crease is Ashton Turner who after facing up to Sam Elliott smashed a 4 to hit the winning runs ,WA win by 6 wickets ,the top contributor with the bat was D’Arcy Short with 39 runs and Sam Whiteman who remained 38 not out ,Will Sutherland was the better of the VIC bowlers taking 2 wickets .
